Lung Cancer Surgery
Modern lung cancer treatment requires an individualized approach. When surgery is appropriate, minimally invasive and robotic techniques may be used to perform lobectomy, segmentectomy, wedge resection, lymph node dissection and other lung resections.
Lung Nodules & Lung Masses
A lung nodule is a small abnormal area found within the lung, often discovered incidentally on a CT scan. Most lung nodules are not cancer, but some require additional evaluation. Depending on the size, appearance, growth and individual risk factors, evaluation may include CT surveillance, PET/CT, biopsy, robotic bronchoscopy or surgical removal.
ON Robotic Bronchoscopy
ION robotic bronchoscopy is an advanced, minimally invasive technology that allows navigation deep into the lung to reach small or difficult-to-access pulmonary nodules. It can be used to obtain tissue for diagnosis while avoiding more invasive diagnostic procedures in appropriate patients.
Robotic & Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgery
Many operations that traditionally required a large chest incision can now be performed through several small incisions using robotic or other minimally invasive techniques. These approaches may result in less postoperative pain, shorter hospitalization and faster recovery for appropriately selected patients.
